In Daniel chapter 5 verse 12, the prophet Daniel is described as having an excellent spirit, knowledge, and understanding to interpret dreams, explain riddles, and solve problems.
These great gift got the attention of the Chaldean King named Belshazzar who gave the command that Daniel should be clothed with purple, and have a chain of gold put around his neck.
A proclamation was also made about Daniel, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.
